1.1. Where & How to Top-Up?

1.2. Any extra charges when top-up?
There is an service charges of RM 2.20 upon payment, NO GST.

1.3. I can’t topup my ezdriver account?
Minimum requirement for online/ 7-Eleven topup is android version 4.4 and above. Please check your phone android version. Make sure is above android version 4.4. If your phone android version below 4.4, you may go to our HQ office for topup. (Updated 10 August 2018)
2.1. Cannot view credit balance?
You need to restart your phone first then reopen the EzDriver apps and the apps will be back to normal. If still cannot work, provide vehicle number & phone model for us to check and pass this case to technical team to handle it.


2.2. Credit not tally?
  • After top-up? Please provide information below for further investigation:
    • Car Plate Number.
    • Top-up Date & Time.

  • After Driver Cancel or Passenger Cancel? Please provide information below for further investigation to our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my:
    • Car Plate Number.
    • Order ID.
2.3. Without any credit balance can the driver continue to receive jobs?
Example for 12% package:
E.g 1. If credit balance is RM0.80, the driver can receive job below RM6.
E.g 2. If credit balance is RM1.20, the driver can receive job below RM10.

2.4. Why credit balance shows amount RM0.00?
Kindly restart EzDriver apps. (Updated 17 July 2018)

This may be due to internet connection or phone problem. If still cannot work, kindly provide following below and send to our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my.
  • Vehicle Number
  • Phone Model
4.1. If no money to pay?
Driver has the rights to request for payment from passenger. Company do not repay on behalf of the passenger. For more detail, We need to ask the Driver-Partner to give us their order ID and vehicle number for further investigation.

4.2. Can I ask passenger to pay partial at first stop?
Yes. Can.

If multistop job,
  • The passenger need to pay 50% for the first stop and pay the rest at the second stop.
  • Remind the driver to take 50% of payment first before the passenger drop off from the first stop.
  • Then advice the driver to remind the passenger, if more than 10 minutes waiting, the booking considered cancel automatically.

4.3. If the driver get fake booking?
We need to ask the Driver-Partner to give us their order ID for further investigation.

4.4. If the passenger caused any unnecessary damage?
The company do not repay on behalf of the passenger. Let them settle by themselves.

4.5. If passenger doesn’t show up?
Get the Passenger phone number / order ID, operator may help to cancel on behalf driver (if needed).

4.6. If passenger acted violently towards the driver?
Please visit the nearest police station for report, and go the hospital for treatment (If needed). We need to ask the Driver-Partner to give us:
  • Order ID
  • Photo being beaten
All this report can send the detail to our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my.

4.7. Cannot reach passenger in WhatsApp, how?
Not every passenger will have WhatsApp, you shall direct contact Passenger via phone call instead. (Updated 18 July 2018)

5.1. If the Taxi Driver car breakdown, why the Operator need to suspend for 3 hours job?

Because if the taxi driver car breakdown, they cannot pick-up passenger. So, we need to suspense the job so that no order will pass to this taxi driver.
You will have up to 15 seconds to accept a job assigned to you.

Accepting a job will increase your Acceptance Rating (AR). Network conditions, phone memory and processor speed may cause the job to be shown for less than 15 seconds. Your Acceptance and Cancellation Rating count in the incentive may not be reflected immediately due to network delay. You may check your trip count again at the end of the day.

6.1. Driver accepted the job then can contact passenger, passenger can't wait ( cancelled by passenger) AR drop, Why ?

6.2. Why receive job more than distance 6km but still blue screen?

6.7. Apps shows pick up but the full address not complete, how?

6.8. Blue screen order too far, Driver cancelled. But the job come in again for more than 3 times after cancel, how?
He need to accept the order and call passenger see whether passenger want to wait for him or not. (Updated 18 July 2018)

6.9. Why Seremban address sometimes more than 10km?
Our system is always matching the nearest driver to passenger. While, you might be the nearest driver at that moment. (Updated 20 July 2018)

6.10. Customer cancel order but why Driver credit deducted?

6.11. Driver on heat maps around active area, still no job come in, How ?
Heat Maps status determine is based on number of online user, it's only for your reference purpose. We distribute fairly the job to the nearest driver.

6.12. Why no job? (Updated 18 July 2018)
All the jobs are distribute fairly to the nearest Driver-Partner. You may use this Heat Map guideline move to high demand area and hunt for more job.

7.1. How does Ez-wallet work?
  • Receive the incentive, Alipay and Credit Card.
  • From driver’s app menu bar, click EzWallet.
7.2. How to cash out?
  • Open driver's menu bar, click EzWallet.
  • Click Cash Out.
  • Enter the amount you wish to cash out.
  • Click Cash Out.
  • Click Confirm to proceed. Click Cancel to cancel your cash out.
  • Please ensure your EzDriver account is registered with bank account number. If not, kindly provide your bank account number to our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my.
7.3. How long will it take transfer to drivers account?
  •  3 to 4 working days.
7.4. Top-up credit.
  • Open driver's menu bar, click EzWallet.
  • Click Top-Up.
  • Enter the amount you wish to top up.
  • Click Top-Up.
  • Click Confirm to proceed. Click Cancel to cancel your top-up.
7.5. Top-up credit how long it takes?
Immediately.

For Passenger side, what if driver overcharged?
If incase passenger used it. But driver charge for original fare amount, we will investigate and replace the promo code to passenger. ( Provide Order ID and send to our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my )

For Driver side, promo code will received at where?
Amount for promo code will be top up to EzWallet balance instantly at driver apps. (Updated 21 November 2018)
If your GPS isn't working, you can take the following steps.
  • Check your location on Google Maps
Android
Make sure it matches your current location. If it does not, remove your device case or cover and place it nearer to the windscreen, disable any battery saver settings and make sure Location settings mode is turned to High Accuracy in Settings app.
  • Update your map app
Open Settings, look for Software Updates and tap Manually Update. This will search for available updates, and update your Android OS as required. Open Google Play and tap My apps & games. If an update is available for your map app, tap Update.
  • Click flight mode for 5 minutes
Android
Open your device's Settings app. Under Wireless & Networks, tap more. Tap Airplane mode to turn on or off.

iOS
Swipe up from the bottom of your Home screen to open Control Center, then tap on the airplane mode.
  • Disable flight mode and try again.
If you are still having GPS problems, you might be having GPS hardware problems with your device that needs fixing or replacing.

11.1. How to Register as EzDriver?
There are 2 method for register:
  • By walk in to the EzCab office. OR
  • Apply registration via EzCab website.

11.2.  Account not active yet?
Application will be completed within 2-3 working days if you have registered with correct IMEI. If still not active, please provide vehicle number, IMEI and send to our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my.

11.3.  Online register not successful?
Kindly contact our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my. Reasons that might cause the information to not be updated in system:
  • Use the wrong link to sign up.
  • Uploaded expired document.
  • Photo Image too large.
  • Car made 2009 and below.
  • Had 10 summons. (Updated 18 July 2018)
  • Not under eligible vehicle list (i.e. Viva, Atos and etc)
  • At least had 1 blacklist. (Updated 18 July 2018)
11.4.  Account approve but still cannot login?
Your driver account will be activated within 2 hours after received approve e-mail. If still can not use the EzDriver App, please provide your vehicle number, IMEI and send to our support team at driversupport@ezcab.com.my.

11.5. If I register now, how much the commission charge?
Starting from 8 July 2018, for existing registered Driver-Partner commission rate as below:
  • Private Car Driver-Partner: 12%.(valid until 31 August 2018)
  • Taxi Driver-Partner: Remain as package registered.
11.6. My friend want to register after 31 August 2018, can he get the 12% commission?
Register and Active from 1st September 2018 onwards
  • For Private Car Driver-Partner: 15%.
  • Taxi Driver-Partner: Remain as package registered.

11.7. Is there any way to appeal from ban / suspend?
Walk in HQ office appeal. (Updated 23 July 2018)

11.8. If I want to register as EzDriver, I’m 56 years old but I’m still healthy. The registration requirement need medical form to submit if the driver age are above 50 years. Can I proceed register or not? (Applicable for Private Car Driver only)
You can proceed your registration & submit the form approval from your doctor to confirm you are healthy enough to do this job.

12.3. There is passenger app name?
  •  Yes, it is EzCab (Available on Google Play Store and App Store).
12.4.  Did passenger apply at iOS and android?
  • Yes, both apply to the passenger.
13.1.  How drivers update documents?
If your documents are about to expire or have already expired, E-mail driversupport@ezcab.com.my to attach the following renewed documents below:
  • Driving license.
  • Insurance Covernote.
  • Road Tax.
  • IMEI Number.
All states in Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak.
15.1. Where to pickup and wait, is there any queue?
All KLIA/KLIA 2 order are distribute fairly to the nearest driver. We don’t practice queue system.
16.1. Commission very high 15%, why?
According to new laws, actually 20% commission is needed for Private Car but we still give the low from the new laws. (Updated 26 July 2018)

16.2. Fare too low, why?
Fare are vary depends on many conditions such as Peak Hour, Public Holiday, weather and so on. (Updated 18 July 2018)

16.3. Why incentive trip very hard to achieve?

16.4. Why fixed fare Driver will receive Meter fare?

16.5. Why estimate fare always not correct ?
Estimate Fare is calculated based on normal traffic condition and it only for reference. Actual Fare are vary depends on many conditions such as traffic condition, weather and so on.(Updated 18 July 2018)

16.6. How to get incentive with Let’s GOYANG KAKI programme?
When the driver refer passenger, the driver will get 2% incentive of every ride completed by their referred passengers.

Q Point is previously use for taxi, currently there are no function for private driver.
18.1. What is Touch 'n Go eWallet?
The Touch ‘n Go (TNG) App is an electronic wallet (eWallet) that holds electronic money (e-money). This service via mobile application is offered by TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. (TNGD). Public Cab Sdn Bhd and EzCab Sdn Bhd has partnered with TNG to allow passengers to make payment with TNG eWallet.(Updated 24 August 2018)

18.2. How can passenger pays for their ride with Touch n Go eWallet?
The passenger need to select “TNG eWALLET” as their payment method before click BOOK to proceed their ride.

18.4. Can the passenger pay half of the fare with Touch n Go eWallet?
Eg. If the fare is RM20, but passenger only have RM10 in his Touch n Go eWallet.
If street hailing customer, CAN. [how??]
If Passenger scan Taxi Driver QR Code, he can pay:
  • RM 10 by Touch N Go eWallet.
  • RM 10 by Cash.
If order received from the apps, the CANNOT. EzCab App passenger must pay full fare for the ride.
If still can’t, ask Driver to tell the passenger to change the payment option to cash or any other payment method in EzCab apps.

18.5. Driver complain his EzWallet amount for Touch n Go jobs is not tally (not same amount) with the history of the driver job that have completed.
Eg. If the driver claimed already completed order with Touch n Go eWallet for total of RM100, but when he checks his EzWallet balance only have RM50.
If Taxi driver, ask the driver if all transactions is Driver scan passenger for payment or Passenger scan driver’s QR tag.
  • If scan driver’s QR tag, the transaction amount is directly bank into the driver’s bank account by TNG Digital Sdn Bhd.
  • If driver scan passenger QR code, the payment will direct go to his EzWallet Balance.
If Private Car driver, Kindly provide the following details for further investigation.
  • Vehicle number.
  • Order ID for all the relevant jobs.

18.6. If the passenger don’t want to give their phone to scan their Touch n Go eWallet QR Code. How ?
Driver need to change the payment method to Cash and
  • Driver collect payment by Cash or
  • if Taxi Driver has a QR tag issued by Touch ‘N Go eWallet, can let passenger scan the QR tag instead (Payment will direct go to bank account driver).

18.7. When the payment for Touch n Go eWallet will update into my EzWallet balance?

19.1. What is the different payment accept from EzDriver apps & Street Hailing (without using EzDriver apps)?
a) Payment from EzDriver apps will go direct to EzWallet Balance Driver.
b) Payment without using EzDriver apps will go direct to Bank Account Driver.

19.2. If the fare is RM20, but passenger only have RM10 in his Touch N Go eWallet, can he pay half by Touch N Go eWallet , half by cash?
a) Book thru EzDriver apps - NO
  • Driver need to change the payment method to cash.
b) Street Hailing order - YES
If Passenger scan Driver he can pay
  • RM 10 by Touch N Go eWallet
  • RM 10 by Cash

19.3. If the taxi driver already completed order with Touch N Go eWallet about RM100, but he ask why EzWallet balance only RM50?
Possible reasons:
  • Order thru EzCab apps, the payment will go to (EzWallet Balance).
  • Order from Passenger scan Driver QR Code (Bank Account Taxi Driver).
  • If still not get the exact amount. Need to contact our support team through this email at driversupport@ezcab.com.my, provide Taxi number & IC number.

19.4. If the passenger don’t want to give their phone to scan their Touch N Go eWallet QR Code. How ?
Driver need to change the payment method to Cash. Then, the Driver give the QR Code to passenger to scan. The fare will direct go to Taxi Driver Bank account.

19.5. When the payment for Touch N Go eWallet will direct go to my bank account?

19.6. Why Street Hailing feature is available to Taxi Driver only?
This is because Private Car is only allowed to pick-up order received from eHailing Driver App only. It is illegal for private car driver to pick-up customer from the street.

20.1. What is Boost eWallet?
The Boost App is an electronic wallet (e-wallet) that holds electronic money (e-money). This service via mobile application is offered by Boost Mobile Company. EzCab Sdn Bhd has partnered with Boost to allow passengers to make payment with Boost eWallet.

21.6. Did the passenger need to key in their info of their card frequently if want to pay by credit / debit card ?
Passenger need to key in one time only & If passenger logout EzCab apps, we will clear credit card data and they need to key in one more time.

21.7. Once successfully setup, RM1 will be charged ?
You may be prompted with an OTP (one-time password) for an RM1.00 pre-authorization charge. This RM1.00 will be refunded to you within 30 days after the card has been added successfully.

21.8. What if pay by credit card but fails ?
Driver need to ask user wait until the payment success. They can change other payment types. If success, driver will receive successful message.

21.9. What if there's a discrepancy in my transactions when the ride is tagged as complete, but there's no actual pick up?
Please report to our call centre at 03 - 62591913 & we will refund the money to them. Operator need to get the Order ID & email address of passenger for further investigation.

22.1. Mid Valley Campaign. (17/12 – 31/12/2018)

1. If the driver ask, why the fare only RM 5?
It’s a promotion campaign for TNG eWallet user to use to pay with EzCab apps order. Hence, please assure driver that they will still receive the normal fare, the balance of fare left will goes into their EzWallet for Cash Out / Top-Up.

Example :
Shah Alam to Mid Valley : normal fixed-fare = RM26.
If pay by TNG eWallet : Passenger pays Driver RM5 + toll ; discount balance RM21 will goes into Driver’s EzWallet.

Eg. If the fare is RM20, but passenger only have RM10 in his WeChat Pay.
CANNOT. Because for order received from the apps, passenger must pay full fare for the ride.

If still can’t, ask Driver to tell the passenger to change the payment option to cash or any other payment method in EzCab apps.

25.5. Driver complain his EzWallet amount for WeChat Pay jobs is not tally (not same amount) with the history of the driver job that have completed.
Eg. If the driver claimed already completed order with WeChat Pay for total of RM100, but when he checks his EzWallet balance only have RM50.

Kindly provide the following details for further investigation.
  • Vehicle number.
  • Order ID for all the relevant jobs.

This is a customer-presented QR Code whereby EzCab Customer will generate the QR Code and present it to EzCab Drivers to scan the QR Code and process the transaction. (Updated 25 April 2019)

26.9. If user can't perform transaction and it's unsuccessful, what should do?
Please try any of these methods:
  • Refresh your QRPay code - QRPay code only valid for 1 minute, Kindly refresh your QRPay code.
  • Check Internet Connection - Poor internet connectivity will causes transaction failed. Good Internet connection is required to use the app. Re-launch the app when the internet connection is good.
  • Check your balance in account - Ensure your account balance is enough to pay for the ride.
